Many of the best models integrate with your smartphone. Find an application that lets you save maps, schedules, and select cleaning modes.
- Eufy Omni S1 Pro
Eufy's gunmetal-and gloss black Omni S1 Pro is one of the most impressive robot vacuum and mop combos on the market. It makes use of lidar to navigate and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behavior.
The S1 was able to map my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum flooring in the kitchen, dining room, and bathrooms, as well as carpet in the middle and a large area. It was capable of driving up to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it had some issues getting down the stairs in one go. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors with its mop that moved smoothly on its flat side against the floor and lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rugs.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station on the S1 automatically emptys its dust bin and refills its water tank onboard with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water for deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can be able to accommodate 12 mopping sessions, however it will differ based on how often you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating well. You'll need to wash out the dirty tank to keep it from becoming blocked. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dust or dirt. However, overall, the S1 is easy to maintain, particularly compared to other combinations that require more care.
- Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a great choice for cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans around furniture and eliminates obstacles. The mopping capabilities of the robot are impressive, with mops that rotate that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station when required.
The robot is simple to install and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the process. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be used to clean those hard-to reach areas that the robot cannot reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically emptied or filled. It comes with a range of useful settings that allow you to fine tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does excellent job of vacuuming, with strong suction that easily removes most debris and even the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, too, even though it is sometimes hung up on the small carpets or area mats that I have in my home (which is something you can reduce by defining a virtual boundary within the application). The mopping feature is pretty good as well, with a pair of spin mop pads that actually lift and scrub floors, as opposed to simply dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station when needed. Mops can also be replenished at the top of the station if they are required.
- Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has fantastic cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a top contender on our list of the top robot vacuums and mop. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is completed.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It works equally well on hard floors and carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other mess. The sweeping performance of the machine is boosted by a sidebrush that extends to reach hard-to-reach areas, and a mop pad that extends across baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent it can navigate through small spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It can go from one room to another without having to change direction. This is beneficial for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a wide space around obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is easy to use and easy to use. It should be simple to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleaning tasks. You can also alter suction power, mop setting as well as view 2D and 3-D maps. It can be controlled via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri, allowing you to monitor its progress from any location. You can also remotely control the X40 Ultra camera for real-time monitoring. You'll require a reliable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
- Roomba Q5 pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing debris and dirt but it's not always able to reach every last piece of dust. This is why it's crucial to use your regular vacuum at least once a week, especially to remove dust from corners, on shelves, and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that both vacuums and mop, is designed to accomplish this. It is easy to connect to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped-down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, including the top-of-the-line Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It has the same LIDAR mapping sensors, but it's cheaper since it does not have mopping capabilities and comes with an aluminum body.
The Q5 remains one of the most powerful vacuums and mopping robots we've seen at this price, even though it's not equipped to clean your floors. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system so you don't need to empty the bin manually each time. It also has a clever app that lets you set your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic water tank refill and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops also impress, with a 2700Pa power that can tackle dirt and pet hair, on both carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 was one of the few robots that we tested that did not have a problem with high-pile area rugs and carpets. However, it could not pick up kitty-litter or cable tangles. This isn't surprising, since it does NOT include AI-powered obstacle-avoidance.
- K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested, it also utilizes a unique system to map your home, which really helps it get into the corners and tight spaces that other vacuums cannot reach. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in the larger bin, meaning that you don't need to empty it as often. Additionally, it has washable filters that further lower the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction if required. The app allows you to mark areas that you want it to stay clear of this is a useful feature.
